RUSSIA
Import of sugar from non-CIS countries has reached the volume of US$ 16.0 million in February 2017, Rosstat reported.

Sales of "Rusagro" in the sugar segment have amounted to 37 240 million rubles in 2016 (in 2015 – 32 853 million rubles), operating profit – 8 286 million rubles. The company has produced 810 thousand tons of white sugar (in 2015 – 766 thousand tons), including 750 thousand tons of beet sugar, a press release of the company stated.
EAEC
According to the forecast by the Department of Agro-Industrial Policy of the EAEC made for 2017, the production of sugar is anticipated to make 6 563 thousand tons.

BELARUS
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food has set new maximum prices for sugar beet to be harvested in 2017, for procurements by state order. The maximum price for 1 ton (without value added tax) is set: standard (STB 1893-2008) - 72.28 Belarus rubles (about RUR 2 239.8 at the current rate of the Central Bank of Russia), substandard (STB 1893-2008) - 57.71 Belarus Rubles (RUR 1 788.3).

Consumer prices for refined sugar decreased by 0.39% in the country in February 2017; from the beginning of the year increased by 0.32%. The average consumer price for refined sugar was 1.75 Belarus Rubles for 1kg (RUR 54.22/kg at the current rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation), reports StatCom of RB.
